Since nighttime temperatures can drop below 5°C, it is highly recommended to bring a warm jacket for comfort during the stargazing and extended stay.
This tour is started in evening offers a unique opportunity for photographers to capture the Milky Way from a viewpoint, where the Bromo night sky is best for stargazing on the south of the equator.
The tour also includes a sunrise and panorama view, a walk on the sand volcanic area, and then climb up 250 steps to the crater’s rim. The tour concludes with a breakfast at the hotel and transfer back to Surabaya.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Surabaya to Bromo, Milky Way Tour
- 18.00 – Pick up from the hotel in Surabaya, train station, or airport, and leaving from Surabaya via Probolinggo Regency, stay overnight
- 22.00 – Meet our team and then go to the best quiet location where you can watch Milky Way and take pictures. Stay awhile. going back to the hotel to sleep for a moment until it is time to watch the sunrise
Day 2 Sunrise Tour and Transfer back to Surabaya
- 03.30 – Start the Tour, passing through the sea sand to climb up to the Penanjakan Peaks to enjoy the sunrise on the 2600 meters above sea level, then go back to the sea sand where We’ll pass through the Sand Sea to the slope, where we climb up 250 steps into the rim of crater. There we’ll see (if the weather permits) the fantastic view of the Tengger Plateau.
- 09.00 – Going back to Cemoro Lawang village to have breakfast at a local restaurant and take a rest for a while.
- 10.00 leaving Bromo return to Surabaya, If weather and time permit, you could stop over at Madakaripura Waterfall on the way back to Surabaya.
- 13.00 – Arrive at Surabaya Transfer back to the hotel, to Surabaya Airport, train station, end of services
